Finally got around to finishing the model sheets for the main character. Tomorrow our group will be meeting up to settle the final storyboard.

The opening turned out somewhat colourful and bright~
the background for the next scene though...

Model Sketch Process

I did this after getting daunted by our teammate, Nadia, who said something like "Can you colour that fast?"
It's kind of embarrassing that I'd feel threatened by her words but I actually went and did it anyway. Curse my artist pride Might as well share. Here's the final image:

I was in quite a hurry

In our last class, a classmate did a presentation on Digital Animation process and during the cell shading process, he showed a video of an artist drawing in PaintTool SAI.
I just want to clarify that, yes, PaintTool SAI is from Japan but there's an English version that I also use mine is illegal though and that there is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY any normal human could colour THAT FAST.
It was obviously made to look fast. Any idiot who can process a video-editing software can do it. I might mean myself...
Also, PaintTool SAI is available in English now. Hence why I can actually use it. So, I don't think the artist whose artwork was shown in class was Japanese. Seriously.

On a somewhat related note, PaintTool SAI is really cool to use if one likes to draw and colour digitally.
Personally, I prefer doing linearts in PS and colour in PaintTool SAI but different people, different opinions~

I'm really sorry for this flash-unrelated post. So to keep things up-to-date with our final assignment, here's an update on that flash our team is working hard to accomplish:

It's an 'establishment shot' I decided to do that will also act as our opening or title scene. I...I haven't consulted the other members about this yet. I wonder if I'll get scolded. I hope not.

I wonder if something like this should be put in the screenplay and storyboard..
It seems near unfair that a video of work-process in SAI gets shown when the animation is obviously 100% flash so I'll try and do a video of flash soon~
